Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the Prism Collection, a trio of transparent accessories for the PlayStation 5 that includes DualSense wireless controllers and console covers in Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray. Pre‑orders begin on 10 November 2026, with the products slated to ship from 4 February 2027.
Each variant features a high‑gloss clear finish that showcases the internal components while adding a tinted hue – a bold orange that shifts to a rosy tone, a deep hunter‑green that gains depth through its translucency, and a cool storm‑gray for a refined look. The glossy sheen is intended to complement the PS5’s industrial design.
Transparent designs and color options
The DualSense controllers are priced at $84.99 USD (¥12,480, €84.99, £74.99) and the matching console covers at $74.99 USD (¥9,980, €74.99, £64.99). Leo Cardoso, part of Sony’s Color, Material and Finish team, said the team wanted to revive the iconic see‑through trend of the late ’90s in a modern way that fits the PS5 generation. Satoshi Aoyagi added that the metallic finish on the controller’s middle cover ties the contrasting surfaces together for a premium appearance.
